Nobile, the chocolate manufactory of Willi Schmutz und Martin Schwarz from Bätterkinden has repeatedly made positive headlines nationwide in recent years. It is their love for the finest chocolate, high-quality ingredients and detailed craftsmanship that make the hand-made Nobile products so unique. “We use first-class, sustainable ingredients, whenever possible from Switzerland”, says Schmutz. This commitment has been rewarded several times: in 2015 and 2018, Nobile was named best chocolatier in Switzerland and won the award for best chocolate. These awards have secured Nobile a spot among the top ten chocolate praline producers in the world.
But a trip to Cioccolateria Nobile at 45 Rathausgasse is not only worthwhile for chocoholics: from May to September, the shop is transformed into a gelateria with Italian flair that sells fresh, handmade gelato. Positively mouthwatering!
