Few artists have produced such a diverse body of work as Friedrich Dürrenmatt. He would have been 100 years old on 5 January 2021. To mark this occasion, the tour invites you to immerse yourself in the literary and artistic universe of this important poet and thinker in a lively and entertaining way.
Friedrich Dürrenmattwrote plays and thrillers, painted pictures, was regarded as a national authority on political issues, gave speeches and wrote dozens of short stories. "Bern was only manageable for me by becoming my subject matter," Dürrenmatt described his relationship with the city. He found it threatening, confusing and confusing, and yet this city shaped him like no other. The tour leads through the labyrinth of Bern's old town streets to important locations in his life and work and allows Dürrenmatt himself, as well as his characters and texts, to have their say.
