The Bern Bites Food Tour is a three-hour culinary experience through Bern’s UNESCO-listed Old Town. At five authentic locations, international guests savour national and regional specialities while discovering the city through stories, anecdotes and culture – offering an unforgettable insight into Bern’s culinary diversity.

The Bern Bites Food Tour offers international guests the perfect opportunity to experience Switzerland’s federal city with all senses. During a guided walk through Bern’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, participants visit five carefully selected venues serving typical Swiss specialities – from freshly brewed coffee with homemade chocolate and tangy cheese to traditional rösti and sweet delights.

A group sits comfortably in a wood-panelled parlour, surrounded by old pictures and tradition. Conversation, hearty food and a convivial atmosphere make the moment warm and familiar - a piece of Bernese pub culture in action.
A colourful selection of speciality cheeses lies close together on the counter - from creamy white to tangy blue to strongly matured. Pure variety and enjoyment, reflecting the aroma and flavour of the region.

Between culinary stops, the route passes iconic Bernese landmarks such as the BearPark, the Nydegg Bridge and the medieval arcades. Along the way, guests gain fascinating insights into the city’s history, culture and everyday life – always with a focus on offering a personal and authentic experience of Bern.
