Warming group experience on cold days – ice stock shooting on the Gurten on the Gurten. From November to March, the Gurten meadow offers the perfect setting for this curling-like game. Ice stock sport is a fun, team-oriented winter activity that fosters team spirit, movement and enjoyment – a welcome break from everyday life.

This traditional winter sport combines precision, strategy and teamwork – making it ideal for a social group experience. On Bern’s local mountain, the activity is held on the meadow near the Bahnhöfli and is organised in cooperation with Berger Events. The lane is available exclusively by prior reservation.

The goal is to slide your ice stock as close as possible to the target, the “Daube”, while trying to knock your opponents' stocks out of the scoring area. Easy to understand yet rich in strategic depth, the game is perfect for both beginners and experienced players.
