The Niederhorn – A Local Gem

On the summit, you’re welcomed by a gorgeous panoramic view of the mountain trio Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, glistening Lake Thun, and the city of Bern in the distance. Numerous hiking paths take you through idyllic landscapes, along craggy cliffs and tranquil alpine meadows. You might even catch a glimpse of the wild ibexes!

Dare to peek over the edge of the cliff and take in the spectacular view from the safe ridge trail. Families with children will enjoy the fun playground in front of the Berghaus inn or one of the three “Alpen-OL” (alpine orienteering) trails, where children are guided by the cool “Rocky Gang”. And for those seeking an adrenaline rush, brand-new scooter bikes await at the cable car’s half-way station Vorsass.

For the icing on the cake, travel to the Niederhorn by boat on beautiful Lake Thun. The valley station of the Niederhornbahn funicular is conveniently located right by the Beatenbucht ferry terminal.
