The beginner's route starts at Gurnigel-Wasserscheide with a first gentle ascent to warm up. Afterwards, the trail leads in a gentle descent through the snowy forest. At the first junction, turn right and go deeper into the forest. The route now continues with a steady up and down until the next junction, where you turn left for the somewhat steeper descent into Chaltweh. After the short and steep descent, the route leads back in a steady ascent to the first junction. There, you have the option to do the round again or return to Gurnigel-Wasserscheide via a slight ascent and a fast descent. Along the route, cross-country skiers are accompanied by a wonderful view of Gantrisch and Nünene. The four kilometers and 70 meters of elevation can be easily managed - maybe even several times.

Guests without their own equipment can rent classic and skating cross-country ski gear at three locations for reasonable prices. It is self-service, and payment is made on site in cash or via Twint.
