The short, challenging Pfyffe cross-country circuit starts at the Süftenen mountain hut. From there, the trail descends gently along the main axis of the cross-country network towards Ottenleuebad. Before the road leads down to the village, the trail turns off to the right. This is followed by the steepest ascent that the Gantrisch cross-country skiing center has to offer. The short and very steep section rewards all cross-country skiers with a unique view of the Gantrisch chain and the Fribourg Pre-Alps. An easy and steady ascent takes you to the highest point of the loop, followed by an initially easy and then rapid descent back to the main network. At the end of the loop, there is a steady, easy ascent back to the Süftenen refuge.

Guests without their own equipment can hire classic and skating cross-country skiing equipment at three locations at reasonable prices. Self-service is available, payment is made on the spot in cash or by Twint.
