With the e-bike quite leisurely and without a motor rather sporty: But no matter which two-wheeler, the 31-kilometer circular route in the Laupen region inspires cyclists to pause and reflect on time. Along the way, guests get to know among other things the origin of the well-known local dish “Bärner Platte” (Berner Platte). A ride on the Zeitschlaufe Laupen is an unforgettable “Paselitang” (Bernese term for pastime, derived from the French “passer le temps”).

The route follows the existing cycling paths 888, 34 and 74 and is best explored counterclockwise. The map from Schweizmobil helps to find the way.

Tip from the author

Please observe the current detour of the route between Laupen and Neuenegg. Plan a little extra time and stroll through the charming small town of Laupen with its historic castle.

Many restaurants and cafés are closed on Sundays and Mondays or have irregular opening hours. To avoid cycling to the next door with an empty stomach, we recommend checking the opening hours on the venues’ websites in advance.
