Bern is particularly known for the Zytglogge (Clock Tower), the imposing Bundeshaus (Parliament Building), and the BearPark with its fuzzy inhabitants. But spooky tales and spine-chilling legends lurk in the alleyways and behind the baroque facades of the nation’s federal city. A journey into Bern's past brings to light exciting and astonishing facts that you won't find in the history books.

On this city tour, participants learn how the seven deadly sins manifested in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, why the city's executioner had a very special kind of curler at the ready, and why some people would observe the Marzilibad from the Monbijoubrücke with the help of binoculars. Shortly after the start of the tour, participants get their first “Fübi” (short for “Feierabendbier”, an after-work beer) at the Simmentaler Brewhouse at the railway station (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). At the halfway point on Bärenplatz, the second beer is collected from Café Fédéral, accompanied by a home-made pretzel.

At the end of the tour, the guides are happy to provide culinary tips and recommendations for the rest of the evening. Feel free to ask!
