The Chrämerhuus cultural association offers a diverse cultural programme that is unique in the region, ranging from experimental minority culture to popular entertainment culture.

Founded in the autumn of 1976, the Chrämerhuus provides a varied cultural programme for the people of the Oberaargau region and the neighbouring areas of the cantons of Aargau, Lucerne and Solothurn, and preserves the historically valuable Chrämerhuus building in the centre of Langenthal. Today, the Chrämerhuus is a historic landmark and cultural flagship for the city of Langenthal and the Oberaargau region. Over the years, it has established itself as a cultural venue, to which the association contributes with over 60 events a year, ranging from alternative music, interesting exhibitions, top-class cabaret to an exquisite film programme.
