At the Zentrum Paul Klee, two visitors immerse themselves in the colourful world of the artist. The art educator enthusiastically explains the painting - a moment full of curiosity, inspiration and lively dialogue right in the cultural heart of Bern.

When you hear corks popping at the Zentrum Paul Klee in mid-June, it means the anniversary celebrations have begun. The weekend’s programme is packed with all sorts of activities in and around the museum. The doors will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, and then the fun begins! Be it culinary delights, live music, or fabric art in the studio – there’s something for every taste.

Visitors can learn interesting facts on a wide range of topics during various short guided tours – with free admission on both days. Those who want to get hands-on can make their own works of art from pressed flowers and leaves in the Creaviva studio or get creative with a fabric art project.

By the way: If you were born in 2005 and are therefore also celebrating your 20th birthday this year, you can visit the Zentrum Paul Klee for free all year long.

If you prefer being active, try your hand (or rather, your feet) at slacklining in the park. And when you get hungry from all those activities, head over to the BBQ food truck or the food tent and treat yourself to something tasty.

The programme on Sunday is all about fun for the entire family. Here, too, there will be lots of different hands-on activities such as chalk art, sketch crawls and studio work in the Creaviva. Herbs enthusiasts can mix their own gazpacho or syrup, while film fans can look forward to the film “Münter & Kandinsky”. The icing on the cake: actual cakes! Baked by neighbourhood residents to celebrate the museum’s 20th birthday.

You can find the detailed anniversary programme here.
