Shortly after Burgdorf, it becomes intimate and cozy. You orient yourself towards Bern, but remain on a high altitude throughout, from where you can overlook the area all the way to Lake Neuchâtel. There are long passages where hardly anyone is to be found, before long you will be suprised to come across a pleasant café at Utzigen Castle, where you can stop and visit the castle garden. Over another elevation, you roll back to Burgdorf in a wonderfully relaxed manner, so that after a total of 43 kilometers you are completely lost in the Emmental.
Tip from the author
Enjoy a few minutes of leisure in the Utzigen castle garden.
