The route starts at the monastery parking lot in St. Urban. After just a few minutes, you reach the field path. On the way between forest and fields, you come to the sawmill in Roggwil. Turn right there (old water wheel) and walk straight ahead—first through Walliswil (municipality of Murgenthal), then continuing on the field path through the Smaragdgebiet Oberaargau. You will soon reach Murgenthal. Before the wooden bridge, turn left and then immediately right to reach the Aare riverside path. Along this path to Aarwangen, you will find beautiful beaches for a picnic or a short break. The path leads you directly to Aarwangen Castle.

Start: Take the Aare Seeland Mobil from Langenthal to St. Urban. Destination: There is a stop for the Aare Seeland Mobil directly at Aarwangen Castle. From there, you can return to St. Urban via Langenthal.

St. Urban is easily accessible from the Reiden or Niederbipp motorway.
