So close to Bern's old town and yet right in the middle of nature. The bank of the Aare is the perfect place for a jogging round. Here, "urban nature" can be especially enjoyed and it becomes clear why Bern is one of the greenest cities worldwide. Those jogging through the famous Bern outdoor pool Marzili also have a spectacular view of the old town and the Federal Palace. In summer, a subsequent "dip" (swimming) in the Aare is a cool reward. Please observe the measures of the SLRG.
Construction warning: The Schönausteg will be renovated and dismantled from October 2024 until spring 2025. But don’t worry, 250 meters downstream there is a replacement bridge over the Aare.
