So close to Bern's old town and yet in the middle of nature. The bank of the Aare is the perfect spot for a jogging round. Here you can especially enjoy "urban nature" and it becomes clear why Bern is one of the greenest cities worldwide. Those who jog through the famous Bernese outdoor pool Marzili also have a spectacular view of the old town and the Federal Palace. In summer, a refreshing swim in the Aare afterwards is a cool reward. Please observe the measures of the SLRG.

Attention construction: The Schönausteg will be renovated from October 2024 until spring 2025 and will be dismantled for this. But no worries, 250 meters downstream there is a replacement footbridge over the Aare.
