The circular snowshoe trail starts at the famous Kemmeribodenbad. From the bus stop, the trail leads over the Emme and climbs 120 meters in altitude to Kemmeri right at the start. This is the most strenuous part of the trail, with fresh new snow and no pre-tracked path. A little further on, above Unter Kemmeri, you are rewarded with a wonderful view. A short time later, the descent leads down through powder snow to Schwand, where you cross the Emme. The trail then follows the summer hiking trail to the Kemmeriboden bus stop and back to the Hotel Landgasthof Kemmeriboden Bad. A stop for refreshments is highly recommended, as the delicious and legendary Merängge and the winter wonderland with igloo are well worth a visit.
