Exhibition

The exhibition leads visitors through the eventful history of Aarwangen Castle – from a bailiff's residence to a centre of administration and justice, and now a modern space for culture and exchange. It highlights the castle’s deep connection to the identity of the Oberaargau region while also addressing its future. A special highlight for families awaits in the attic: the children’s castle featuring the mascot “Juhuuri”, where knowledge is playfully conveyed through riddles, audio stations and climbing elements – a fun and engaging experience for kids and adults alike.

Those seeking an adrenaline rush can explore the former prison cells, now transformed into two thrilling escape rooms that test teamwork, logic and courage. The offering is rounded out with immersive virtual reality experiences that bring historical scenes to life and offer a new perspective on Aarwangen Castle.
