Useful information

  • City of Bern

  • Art & design

The Creaviva Children’s Museum offers different fun interactive experiences, making the world of art and culture accessible to everyone. Children, teenagers and adults have the opportunity to get creative, discover different aspects of art and dive into the world of painting.

Interactive exhibitions

The topics of the free, interactive exhibitions in the loft of the Creaviva are based on current exhibitions at the Zentrum Paul Klee and change several times a year. Paul Klee takes his guests, old and young, on a journey to a world where creativity has no boundaries.

Open studio

The studio opens its doors several times a day to let visitors try out different painting techniques, instructed by experienced art educators: the topics of the practical art education programme change monthly and are open to everyone from the age of 4 to 88 (children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult). Tickets for the open studio are available at the museum’s front desk.

“Fünfliber-Werkstatt” (five-franc workshop)

Creating, painting, expressing: every day from Tuesday to Sunday (even during Bern’s school holidays), children and adults can create their own personal little work of art to take home. The “Fünfliber-Werkstatt” has everything you need: inspiring ideas, easy instructions and all the necessary equipment to get creative. The workshop is not supervised. Visitors deposit 5 francs per artwork in a piggy bank.

The Creaviva's offers are barrier-free - for young and old, with and without special needs or handicaps.
