The Stadttheater Langenthal is an important performance venue for Swiss guests, with two stages: the large theatre hall with 400 seats and the multifunctional Theatre 49 with space for about 100 guests. A broad spectrum of productions from all areas of the performing arts invites the audience to immerse themselves, experience and enjoy. In addition to drama, musical theatre, concerts, cabaret and productions for children and young people, the programme increasingly includes dance and contemporary circus arts. Traditionally, one can also find a wide variety of events by regional and national organisers.

With over 100 years of history, this magnificent listed building, which was built between 1914 and 1916, is one of Langenthal's key cultural landmarks. The theatre was extensively renovated in 2017 and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. In addition to the two theatre halls, various seminar rooms and meeting rooms can also be rented and used.
