Practical tips and information

The most popular city tours

Historic buildings, mysterious alleyways and impressive sights characterise Bern's UNESCO-listed Old Town. The city tours are as varied as the stories of the federal city. Information about the exciting guided tours is available at the Tourist Information , and can also be booked directly. If you prefer to find out more online, you can find an overview here.

Tourist Information on the Road

Did you know? From April to October, the Bern experts can also be found outside the Tourist Information at Bern railway station. They stop at Bern landmarks such as the "Zytglogge" (clock tower), the cathedral and Bern Zoo, "BärenPark" (bear park) on a cargobike and provide locals and tourists with information about their stay in the federal city.

For example, if you want to know which bar is famous for its local beer, which museum is currently highlighting topical social issues or which bus goes to the university in Länggasse, simply speak to the Tourist Information on the Road staff - they are happy to pass on their insider tips.

Tickets

The tourist information centre sells tickets for events on "Seetickets" and a wide range of other events, such as the Museum Night or festival tickets for Buskers Bern.

In addition, the Tourist Information at the railway station is Bern's exclusive point of contact for Flixbus tickets. Also on offer: tickets for public transport, rail passes and fishing licences.
