Langnau Ice Rink
Langnau Ice Rink is resurfaced several times a day so you can skate round until after sunset. Ice skating aids are available for less confident skaters. So, there’s nothing standing in the way of a winter adventure for young and old alike. The best part? Admission is free. Children can also hire ice skates and ice hockey sticks free of charge. Adults pay a small but fair surcharge.
Full bellies are known to give you energy and an extra boost, helping you to perform even more beautiful spins on the ice. So, the restaurant should definitely be visited. From Sunday brunch to raclette and delicious burgers, it offers everything that makes children’s and adults’ hearts beat faster. Due to high demand, it’s worth booking in advance online or by telephone. (Tel. +41 34 402 10 02)
There is also a bistro with delicious snacks and drinks for those who are a little thirsty and hungry. «Ä Guete zämä!» (Bon appétit!)
Great events are regularly organised on and around the ice rink in Langnau. Dance-loving skaters show off their dancing skills at the ice disco. Jass lovers compete in the Schieber tournament and hopefully come up trumps. There are also regular interesting things for the little ones to experience. For example, «Samichlous» (St Nicholas) also ventures onto the slippery ice.
Practice makes perfect if you want to become an expert. Some SCL Tigers players* also had their first experience on the ice in Langnau. We recommend combining a visit to the ice with a trip to a game in Switzerland’s top ice hockey league. Information on tickets and the match schedule can be found on the Tigers website.
