A glance at the picturesque little town of Laupen and its castle is enough to spark the imagination. It’s easy to picture the scenes that must have unfolded here in the Middle Ages. Today, the castle is a peaceful spot with views over the Sense Valley. At the end of August, delicate musical notes float out from behind its ancient walls as the castle festival returns for a second time.

The programme features an impressive line-up of professional musicians whose talent is sure to captivate the audience. Alongside national and international guests from the music world, the regional music school and the small theatre group “die Tonne” will also take the stage. And even the youngest festivalgoers can join the fun: a special child-friendly concert, complete with a craft session, is scheduled for Saturday morning.
