Ready, set, go! In June, experience the nation’s biggest racing event exclusively for women. Cheer on – or join – thousands of women racing through the streets of Bern at the Swiss Women’s Race.

Women of all ages coming together to share their passion for running – that’s what the popular Frauenlauf is all about. The programme has a suitable race for everyone. The youngest participants can compete in the 500-m Girls Sprint and experience the unforgettable racing atmosphere. Older girls can run the 1.6-kilometre Famigros run with their mothers.

The classic categories are the 5 and the 10-kilometre races. They are also open to visually impaired runners with an accompanying person. If you’re not into running, you can register for (Nordic) Walking on the same course. 

The women’s race is an annual event for the entire family. It takes runners from the centre of Bern across Monbijou Bridge, through the Kirchenfeld neighbourhood and back into Bern’s old town with the home stretch to Bundesplatz.
