The models wear different coloured and stylish outfits that emphasise freshness and diversity in fashion. The background is filled with spectators and historic buildings, creating a charming and culturally rich environment. The atmosphere is energetic and inspiring, full of creative expression and fashion dynamism.

Swiss Fashion at the “Laufmeter Mode-Salon”

In the spring of 2024, national fashion labels will be presenting their collections at the Kornhausforum, advocating for a more conscious approach to fashion. And there’s a fashion show with the streets of Bern’s Old City as the catwalk!

At the “Laufmeter Mode-Salon”, the participating labels will demonstrate what slow fashion means: with sustainable clothing made in Switzerland, they take a stand for a more conscious approach to fashion. The garments from the collections are presented and sold at the Kornhausforum, where fashion aficionados get to meet the designers in person and see exactly who designs the pieces and where they are made.

The 20 designers will be presenting their collections and production methods on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. but can of course be approached at any time during the entire event to find out more about their creations. A highlight of the fashion weekend is the “Modeschau uf dr Gass” (outdoor fashion show): at 2 p.m. on Saturday, the streets of Bern’s Old City are turned into a colourful catwalk for the largest fashion show in the country. Admission to the Mode-Salon is free.
