Swiss two-day march
An event that’s all about fairness and friendship: The Two-Day March took place for the first time in 1960 and has attracted hiking enthusiasts from near and far ever since under the motto of the IML Walking Association "Nos Iungat Ambulare" (“May walking bring us together”). There are no age limits or target times here. Individuals or groups, in uniform or civilian clothes – everyone is invited to walk together.
Starting from the Bern military barracks, the 10, 20, 30 and 40-kilometre circular routes take participants through the varied surroundings of the city of Bern and back to the starting point. The circular route can be chosen freely. Anyone who covers a distance of at least 10 kilometres a day during the two days of the march receives an award at the end
