The picture shows a slate with carefully arranged pieces of chocolate next to a bottle of dry gin and empty glasses, ready for a tasting. The mood is sophisticated and anticipatory, typical of a gourmet experience as part of a city tour.
Warm hands clasp a mug full of delicate chocolate dreams - piece by piece, a moment of pleasure that conjures up a feeling of security and sweet anticipation in the cool air.
A city guide in a red jacket and cap stands on the parapet, with the roofs and trees of Bern in the background. With lively gestures, he tells a story while the Aare passes calmly below him.

The Bernese expression “schöggele” (to relax and enjoy, from “Schoggi”, the Swiss German word for chocolate) must stem from the time when the city of Bern was a true capital of chocolate. Participate in a walking tour to discover a delicious and indulgent side of the federal city and get to know the places that still preserve the memories of Bern's sweetest times.

Interesting and exciting stories and irresistible, locally produced chocolate await! On the “Schoggi” Tour, participants stop by manufacturer Casa Nobile’s store to enjoy a sweet creation from the house of chocolate dreams. Or how about the laced version? On the second tour, “Schoggi und Schnäpsli” (chocolate and liquor), the Matte distillery provides Bernese liquor to go with the sweet treats.

No matter which of the two tours you choose, Switzerland’s finest chocolate is definitely involved. The “Schoggi” Tour takes place outdoors, as does the first part of the “Schoggi und Schnäpsli” Tour. But thanks to the protecting arcades in Bern’s Old City, there’s no need to worry about the weather.
