The hiking trail leads you directly along the Aare on a natural path with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. Soon you will reach the mystical Steinbachweiher – an idyllic spot inviting you to linger. Here you will find an inviting barbecue area and a large table with benches – perfect for a break or a cozy picnic.
The path continues through quiet forests and along the Önz river until you reach Herzogenbuchsee. The route is varied, pleasant to walk, and offers new nature impressions again and again.
Upon arrival in Herzogenbuchsee, you can comfortably take the bus back to Wangen an der Aare – making the route a relaxed experience.

From Wangen a. A. train station, walk through the town to the Aare. Follow the river to the pedestrian bridge. Turn right and always stay on the hiking path until you reach the Steinbachweiher. Behind the second part of the pond, the path leads you to Herzogenbuchsee.
