The Museum Quarter Bern welcomes around 520,000 visitors each year and offers a wide-ranging program of exhibitions, concerts, archival and library services, events, and gastronomy. The Museum Quarter Bern guides its guests through a vibrant universe, tells stories, and preserves cultural heritage.

Here, learning becomes enjoyment, entertainment turns into education, and art becomes experience. Within a five-minute walking radius, seven exhibition venues, a concert hall, and three educational institutions offer a diverse program that constantly invites participation and discovery.

A pass for many discoveries

With the Museumsquartier-Pass, visitors can enjoy access to exhibitions at institutions that charge an entry fee. The pass costs 30 francs and is valid for five months. It entitles one adult and two children up to the age of 16 to visit each participating venue once.

Located in the heart of Bern and nestled between historic buildings and contemporary architecture, the Museum Quarter Bern is also a place for retreat and relaxation. After a museum visit, enjoy a coffee at one of the restaurants, unwind with a book in the museum garden, or let the kids play on the playground — the Museum Quarter Bern is open to everyone as a space for leisure and connection.

The Museum Quarter Bern is easily accessible via tram lines 6, 7 and 8 or bus line 19 – just get off at Helvetiaplatz. Drivers can reach the area via the Bern Ostring motorway exit and Thunplatz, but there are no dedicated parking spaces. Information on parking options is available online from the City of Bern. Accessibility varies from one venue to another – detailed information can be found on the institutions’ websites or in the Ginto app.

Spoon Festival

An event for all spoon fans: on Saturday, 13 June 2026, the festival brings people together to carve wooden spoons. Workshops offer a chance to explore new craft techniques, share experiences and browse a market of unique items. The Spoon Festival is organised by the agency Qn’C Philipp Kuntze in cooperation with partner organisations.

Summer Festival

On Friday, 21 August 2026, the Museumsquartier Summer Festival invites guests to explore, dance and enjoy themselves – with a flea market, delicious food and much more. Institutions in the Museumsquartier will be on-site with creative activities and offer fascinating insights. Several food trucks and a director-run cocktail bar will cater for guests.
