100 Days to go (UEFA Women’s EURO 2025)
The Women’s Euro 2025 will be taking place from 2 to 27 July in Switzerland, and Bern is one of the host cities. Four games will be played at Wankdorf Stadium, including a group match of the Swiss women’s national team and a quarter-final match.
On 22 March, exactly 100 days before the opening match, Wankdorf Stadium is hosting a countdown event to celebrate women’s football. Bern’s soccer club BSC YB, the city of Bern, and the regional football association FVBJ are organising the YB Kids Day, an event where everything revolves around football, fun, and community.
The sporting highlight of the day is the last league match before the European Championship, with YB women playing against GC women. But that’s not everything: the stadium and its surroundings are transformed into a football wonderland with numerous child-friendly activities, an exciting and diverse programme, and different culinary highlights. The Women’s Euro 2025 will of course be the focus of attention – if you’re lucky, you might even win tickets for one of the four games in Bern!
The first item on the agenda of the YB Kids Day is the junior tournament at Sporthalle Wankdorf, where young talents get to demonstrate their skills. In the afternoon, the regional football association FVBJ is hosting a networking event for women in football, a platform for inspiring encounters and lively discussions about all things football.
At the same time, the area around the Stadium offers food stands and all sorts of entertaining activities such as ball games, skill stations and other interactive experiences for visitors of all ages – it’s all about having fun. And it’s the perfect lead-up to the evening match!
Tickets for the game on Saturday, 22 March 2025 are available here. They cost CHF 10 for adults. You can get up to three kids’ tickets (for children under 16) for free with the purchase of your ticket. Children and teenagers under the age of 16 who are attending unaccompanied pay CHF 5. There are attractive special offers for schools and large groups. All tickets include free transportation to the event and back within zones 100/101 of the Libero network.
