Greening Embassies Network
Green diplomacy in Bern: the Greening Embassies Network shows how embassies can make a sustainable contribution in their host city. The network is collectively looking for solutions and best practices.

The initiative was launched in 2018 by eight embassies in Bern. Since then, the network has developed significantly and entered into partnerships with the City of Bern, the International Bern Welcome Desk and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
The International Bern Welcome Desk follows the development of the network and shows how the network is also involved at a local level by participating in various events.
2020: The Network becomes active
Four years after the network was founded, a lot has happened. Read about how the embassies of Sweden and Costa Rica are involved and contributing to a “greener” Bern.
