Maruzzella is idyllically located in a small alley at the foot of the Federal Palace in the Marzili district – right in the heart of Bern. Work in the kitchen is done with care and ease. Everything is made from scratch in-house: bread, sauces, terrines, pasta, patisserie, ice cream, pralines – everything at Maruzzella is handmade

Each month, head chef Wilfried Köster creates a five-course dinner menu. Guests can enjoy the full menu or choose individual dishes – just as they please.

A chef picks fresh herbs from the lush garden. With a concentrated gaze and a bowl in his hand, he combines nature and craftsmanship - a moment that radiates calm, care and a genuine passion for good food.
A skilfully prepared dish in the warm sunlight: delicate, elegant and full of tranquillity. The fine cap of foam and the fresh sprig of herbs lend the moment a quiet, pleasurable nobility.

In summer, Mediterranean flavours shape the cuisine: dishes are served with fresh garden herbs, colourful vegetables and ripe fruit. In autumn and winter, the dishes become heartier, with everything the colder season has to offer.

The wine list is also a matter of great importance at Maruzzella. It is curated with the same dedication as the kitchen – with wines from small estates that practise their craft with passion.
